Enhanced family violence practice
This two–day training program has been developed to extend and enhance the skills of workers who have completed introductory and specialist family violence courses and have gained experience working in this area. Participants will critically reflect on areas that challenge service provision, including specialist approaches, advocacy, work with child protection and reflective practice. The training includes specialist speakers on ‘Legal Issues and Family Violence’, including perpetrator tactics in court, advocates as expert witnesses and victim impact statements and ‘Program Work with Perpetrators, including approaches used by Mens Behaviour Change program and partner contact.

$175 SHS*; $500 non-SHS funded workers
* SHS (formerly SAAP) stands for Specialist Homelessness Services. Most domestic violence and housing/homelessness services are funded under the SHS Program through the Department of Human Services. If you are unsure about your SHS status, please check with your organisations Finance Officer or Administration Coordinator.
