Family Violence Workforce Training Survey

Family Violence Workforce Training Survey

Survey results - what's essential? 31% family violence 101, 28% risk assessment, 13% trauma informed approaches

We were delighted with the response from 367 specialist family violence practitioners across the state to our training needs survey. Responses identified the most pressing workforce development issues arising from the current suite of family violence reforms.

The top three topics respondents would like to see included in a training package were ‘Family Violence 101’, CRAF/risk assessment/safety planning and trauma-informed approaches.

Over half of respondents said 1-2 day face-to-face training was the most useful way to gain new knowledge and skills. Communities of practice and supervision were also highly rated.
This information will inform future DVRCV training packages and we can’t thank you enough.
