This year’s Partners in Prevention annual forum looks at the implications of new media technologies for both contributing to violence and creating opportunities for prevention. Registration deadline extended to 5 August 2010!

Also featuring presentations from:
- Michelle Blanchard (Inspire foundation), joined by ReachOut.com youth ambassadors Sam Sachs and Alastair Purdie, who will speak about young people’s use of social media.
- Reality and Risk – a project designed to encourage debate about the impact of pornography, particularly on young people (see notes from the May PiP meeting for details.)
- Be the Hero – an online violence prevention program designed for use with groups of young men, set up by the Victorian Women’s Trust.
- Photograph—a new video resource and education package on ‘sexting’ – the creation and sharing of sexually explicit pictures or text messages via mobile phone.
