The DVRCV Quarterly is a unique publication for workers in the Australian family violence and allied sectors, providing a wide range of easy-to-read articles on issues affecting our work.
The Quarterly brings research, theory and practice together – it provides discussion and reflection on practice dilemmas and innovations, emerging approaches, and the latest findings from research.
Readers comment that the Quarterly ‘makes me think’, ‘contains variety which is always appealing’, ‘keeps me intellectually on my toes’, and ‘has a good balance of theory and practice’ (comments from our evaluation in 2005).
So far this year, the Quarterly has included articles on the rise of porn and raunch culture, the use and abuse of technology, the growing area of abuse of older people, and a critical commentary on the Victorian family violence sector reforms, as well as many other issues.
The Quarterly is also the only Victorian publication that contains a comprehensive listing of the support groups available in local regions.
