Stacey Ong

Stacey is an economist and management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is passionate about public policy and social justice but in particular she is incredibly passionate about gender equality and ending violence against women and children.

Stacey’s career has been dedicated to public policy at the Commonwealth Treasury, Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet, the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance and now at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

PricewaterhouseCoopers’s (PwC) mission is to build trust and help solve important problems. At PwC, Stacey focuses on government clients, helping to solve government’s most pressing problems. These include traditional problems such as how to deliver services more effectively and efficiently and improve government performance? And they also include far more difficult and challenging questions such as what are more innovative ways to empower citizens to achieve public outcomes like better health or reduced crime?

Stacey has contributed to many high profile public policy projects including the Australia’s Future Tax System Review, the Garnaut Climate Change Review, Productivity Commission Inquiry into First Home Ownership and the G-20.

Stacey holds a combined Bachelor of Commerce and Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Affairs from the Australian National University, and she is a member of the Institute of Public Administration Australia.
