Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service

Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service

Bullinah New Directions – Mothers, Babies and Families aims to be the core centre for all services and referrals where pregnancy, birth, post-natal, and infant health is concerned.

We aim to work with existing services to provide and facilitate comprehensive health care for mothers, babies and families from pregnancy to birth and beyond in a culturally appropriate way.

We provide a coordinated approach to pregnancy, with staff whose sole purpose is to service clients and their partners who are pregnant and or have young children, in a space designed for this purpose. Emphasis on regular follow up and coordination with other programs will improve the experience for the clients, and health outcomes for their families.

As a part of the ante-natal services that BAHS offers, we place a strong emphasis on the involvement of the father and other children. This will provide the family with a good understanding and assist with the changes that are occurring in their lives.

This program will also have a focus on mental health and wellbeing of all parties involved, including mother, father and existing children.
