DVRCV Divas run for respect in 2014
Run Melbourne, Sunday 27 July 2014
Melbourne turned on beautiful weather for our third year participating in Run Melbourne.
Our resident team - the DVRCV Divas - and other runners who supported us have so far raised over $7000!
We also embarked on a number of firsts at this year's event:
• we had a marquee;
• we wore DVRCV Divas 'running for respect' t-shirts;
• we launched our fantastic new organisational brochure – over 300 were distributed on the day.
Thank you to all workers and Governance Group Members who were able to participate and help promote our work, while having some fun and fitness in the process.
It was touching to have many people approach the DVRCV marquee and express gratitude to us for having a presence at the event. People that approached the marquee included survivors of family violence, men and women that work in the community sector, people interested in our training, the general public, people interested in supporting us at next year’s run, and current clients that wanted to say hi. There were also many people that were grateful to get a refreshing towelette and some guilt-free lollies after their run.
There is still time to donate to our campaign and help us reach our $10,000 goal. Please contact us or our website www.dvrcv.org.au for more information.
See you there in 2015!
