No More Deaths campaign update - sign the petition
Since August this year, an alliance of organisations working with women and children, community legal services and men’s behaviour change programs across Victoria has been calling for family violence to lead the agenda in the November 2014 State Election.
We’re asking candidates across Victoria to back a set of critical actions designed to:
- Keep women and children safe and housed
- Make the justice system safe and supportive
- Hold violent perpetrators to account
- Break down the service silos that endanger women and children
- Prevent violence against women and children
By signing the Fair Agenda petition and sharing the campaign with your networks, you will be standing with thousands of other Victorians committing to the No More Deaths alliance’s priority actions.
To ensure #nomoredeaths, Victoria needs strategic change supported and funded by our political representatives. By joining the campaign, you are telling candidates from all political parties standing in this state election that stopping family violence in Victoria is your priority, and that it must be theirs as well.
Watch this space for further updates to the campaign, including a score card of each political parties commitments to addressing family violence in the lead up to the state election.
