Running for Respect - DVRCV Divas

For the third year running (no pun intended), thousands of Melbournians are pounding the pavement in training for the annual Run Melbourne race on July 27. Among those braving the wintry conditions are our very own DVRCV Divas - the Run Melbourne team of DVRCV workers and governance group (board) members. This is our third year participating in and fundraising through the event and we are hoping to make it our biggest year yet!

This year, our fundraising goal is $5000, and we would love to have you on board supporting our campaign - either as a Run Melbourne participant (runner or walker) or by making a donation.

Information & Dates

Run Melbourne will be held on July 27, commencing at Federation Square. Event registration is easy - please see our handy signup instructions for assistance. We are aiming to have at least 50 people running in support of our family violence prevention work. This year we will also have a marquee to provide information and to talk to people about how they can assist in preventing violence. We invite you to come and visit us!

Donations can be made online (at any time) through the secure DVRCV Divas 'Everyday Hero' Portal. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. And with the end of financial year approaching, you won’t have to wait long to get your tax back!

Help raise funds to prevent violence and promote respectful relationships

All funds raised in Run Melbourne 2014 will go towards redeveloping Bursting the Bubble, our award winning website for young people who are experiencing or witnessing violence. The multi-award winning website provides information about safety, strategies for coping with the emotional impact of abuse, advice and stories from other young people, and information about services available.

We'll be posting more on our Run Melbourne training progress here on the blog, and on our Facebook and Twitter channels, so watch this space and join us on the journey!
