Patricia Giles Centre
Provides safe crisis housing for single women and women with children to 18 years who have experienced family violence.
Offers counselling through its Counselling Service for Women. All counsellors have tertiary qualifications in counselling and extensive experience in the field.
Aboriginal Services - provides services for Aboriginal women and children including a parenting engagement program and playgroups for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
Safe Families Safe Pets
Research shows that men who are abusive to their family members may also be violent to animals. The Patricia Giles Centre runs programs to assist families who are worried about the safety of their pets or are worried about their child's attitude to pets as a result of experience family violence.
Family and Domestic Violence Coordinated Response Service
The co-location response model consists of the FDVCR service, the WA Police and the Department of Child Protection. The partnership will jointly triage Domestic Violence Incident Reports (DVIR) and provide risk assessment and appropriate responses for families and individuals.
A series of groups are run during school terms. These courses are free and childcare is available. All groups, as well as being learning environments, offer opportunities for members to develop friendships with supportive people in similar situations.
