Women's Legal Service Queensland offers a range of free legal and social work services for women in Queensland.
Women's Legal Service Queensland can assist in the following areas of law:
- Domestic violence protection
- Divorce and separation
- Family law matters
- Child protection
- Child support
Evening legal advice
Women’s Legal Service holds after hours legal advice sessions twice a week. These sessions are priority triaged.
Depending on the situation, you may be able to make a daytime appointment with one of our solicitors.
Women’s Legal Service solicitors also attend upon the following services in a limited capacity:
- Duty Lawyer Service at Holland Park Magistrates Court
- Family Relationship Centres (Upper Mt Gravatt and Logan)
- Gold Coast Centre Against Sexual Violence
- Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre
Women are able to be booked in to speak to a solicitor to gain legal advice. Legal advice cannot be given over the Helpline directly.
Rural, regional and remote legal advice line
Women’s Legal Service offers a telephone legal advice line specifically for women in rural, regional and/or remote Queensland.
This RRR legal advice line runs Tuesday mornings 9:30am-1:30pm.
